ARTIST BIO
An honors graduate from Art Center College of Design, Kelly worked as illustrator for many years creating 2 Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog covers, working with American Airlines, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Daytons/Marshal Fields, Scholastic Books, Running Press and many more. She created art for a White House Tour Guide under the Clinton Administration. Kelly has been teaching first elementary art and now high school art for almost 20 years. She partnered with a longtime friend to develop a card line called Springamajig Press during the pandemic. The opportunity to become a student again began in 2023 through the Visual Arts Passage school with an emphasis in fine art. Under the guidance of Cassandra L. Kim and founder John English, Kelly has explored medium, style, direction and subject matter. "Painting my students has been pure joy" for her. She is trying to capture the essence of her students through casual poses, expressive moments and spontaneity.
